why we don't initiateHow often do you start working on what you have in mind right away? How active and energetic are you in initiating what needs to be done in order to take you one step closer to achieving your dreams? It’s not easy. Many of us are poor at initiating tasks and setting examples. In this post I share with you five reasons why we don’t initiate:

Lack of passion

When we are passionate about something, we love to do whatever it takes to fulfill the passion and live it. When we lack passion in what we do, we are not willing to initiate and lead by example. We delay implementing the plans and ideas. And then we start bringing thousands of reasons why our dreams and big goals could not be achieved. We blame others for our lack of passion.

Lack of integrity

Lack of integrity means lack of synergy between what we think and what we do. Many of us talk a lot about what we could or would do if we had the opportunity. However, when we get the opportunity, we don’t do or can’t do what we claimed we would do. We do not walk the talk. We do not take the necessary steps to transform our ideas to actionable plans and then execute those plans to get to where we want to be. We don’t take the lead to bring the changes we need to make in order to achieve our dreams. We don’t do what we promised to ourselves and others because we don’t have integrity.

Lack of powerful vision

Lack of faith in our dream is due to lack of a powerful, clear vision for achieving the dream. When the destination is not clear enough, no one is willing to take the first step. If you do not take the time to craft an inspiring vision, you would not dare to initiate, lead the way, and ask others to join you for fulfilling the vision and achieving the dream.

Lack of confidence

Lack of confidence is one of the main reasons why many so-called dreamers quit as soon as they meet the first hurdle. If you want to achieve your dream, you need to have the confidence to lead by example and start implementing your plans, especially in tough times.

Lack of faith

When we don’t trust in our capabilities and vision, we hesitate to initiate and model the way. We may be afraid of failure. We may have doubts. We may think that if we start and it does not work, we would lose what we have. When we do not believe in our dream, how can we expect others to believe in it? Our doubts and fears stop us from taking the first step and showing the way to others.
