Today, I noticed that I’ve been following the news a lot lately especially since the time the new President of the United States was elected! I guess you know why. But actually, I am not the type of person who wastes his or her time with news. Yet it seems that the news these days is drawing my attention and wasting my time!

What about you? Do you spend a lot of time on something that does not add value to you and your life? What is the major time waster in your life?

Believe it or not, the major two time-wasters these days are News and Social Media (if we can call them that anymore) in any shape or format. Have you ever monitored yourself how much time you spend reading, listening to or watching the news and checking your social media profiles and feeds? If not, make sure to do it. You might be surprised!

Since focusing on what we want to achieve in life is more important than the negative news around us and certainly more important than the cool pictures/videos/info that people share on social media these days, I decided to challenge myself and say NO to these two major time wasters for one week! I call it the News Diet!

With this introduction, I want to encourage you to join me and take on this challenge. Let’s do this together and have a News Diet and/or Social Media Diet for one week starting now!
