Every day is 86,400 seconds. Every second counts. Each second passed is part of the past and cannot be returned any more. All people have access to only 86,400 seconds a day. So, why some people achieve a lot more than others? The secret is in managing the time and using every second in a proper way. Following are four super tips for better using your precious time.

Super Tip #1: Get up early

If you think you don’t have time to do what you love or to work towards achieving your dreams and goals, start thinking about getting up early. If you wake up at 7 am to head to work, start by waking up at 6 am. By waking up 1 hour earlier every day, you add 365 hours to your annual schedule to work on those tasks you thought you would never get a chance to do. Rumi says: “The early morning breeze has a secret to tell you.” So, say yes to Early Morning Wakeup Calls!

Super Tip #2: Have a TV diet

How many hours per day do you spend in front of TV? If more than two hours, then you’d better to think of a TV diet! TV is an energy drainer. All these shows, games, and movies are ways to make you addicted to this social media. They not only drain your energy and take your valuable time, but also they do not let you focus on the worthy. When you go on a TV diet, you will notice that you would have more time to spend with yourself, your family, or your dreams.

Super Tip #3: Use your time in the car wisely

How much time do you spend in your car driving every day? According to a 2001 study by the Center for Transportation Analysis, the average time spent in a vehicle was one hour per day. If that is the case, in average each one of us spends 365 hours every year in the car. How do you spend your time in the car while driving? Thinking? Talking over your cell phone? Listening to radio/music?

My suggestion to you is that you use your time in the car wisely. If you don’t have time to read books, you can listen to audio books in your car and learn something new. You can listen to motivational speakers and become motivated. This way you spend your time in the car in a much worthwhile way. If you don’t believe it, try it!

Super Tip #4: Be more productive

Being productive means having the quality or power of producing and yielding results. It means being efficient by doing more in less time. How can you do more in less time? By focusing on what you need to do and wasting less time. For this purpose you need to eliminate distractions and noise. What distractions? Responding to emails, checking facebook and twitter, doing 10 different things at once, answering phone calls, eating, watching TV, surfing internet, chatting, and many more. By eliminating such distractions you can use your time much more effectively, complete your real tasks faster and therefore become more productive.
