According to the English proverb the eyes are windows to the soul. It is true. Eyes always tell the truth. When you are sad internally, no matter how much you try to hide it from others you cannot because your eyes reveal your sadness unless you become happy internally. When you have stress, no matter how much you try to cover it, your eyes reflect your stress and worrisome unless you overcome your stress.
In the same way, when your energy level is low, no matter how much you try to mask it your eyes convey the truth to those who have eye contact with you. Your eyes tell them that you are not energized. Your eyes tell them that you don’t have enough passion.
In contrary, those who are energetic and passionate, their eyes shine with the spark of energy and passion. There is a magic in their eyes that draws people’s attention and connects them together through eyes.
I can always recognize when my wife has energy and when she doesn’t by looking at her eyes. When she is excited, her eyes shine and reflect the light of her passion like diamond that shine and reflect the light of sun. Her eyes show her energy and excitement. On the other hand, when her energy level is low, her eyes lose their shiny sparks and become dim.
As a leader, your eyes tell people in your team whether you are energetic for moving forward and achieving your vision or not. In the same way, the eyes of people in your team or organization would tell you whether they are filled with energy for following you as their leader or not. Just look into their eyes and read!
