Three years ago, I read a book by Robin Sharma with the title “Who Will Cry When You Die”. The title really struck me. It made me think and ask myself: Am I ready to die? Who will really cry if I die tomorrow? Am I really satisfied with what I have done in my life so far? Then I realized no, I was not ready. I knew I should do something special in my life but I did not know exactly what. Although I had a great family and a good job, I was not happy inside. I needed to find my true passion.

Now my question to you is: Have you ever thought about the end of your life at all? Who Will Cry When You Die? Imagine you were to leave this world tomorrow. Would you regret your life? Or you would be happy to say good bye? Think about it.

For this purpose I first interviewed myself. I set aside some time and asked powerful questions from myself. Asking powerful questions will help you identify your passion. You can ask questions like this:

– What are the 5 things that I would like to do before I die?
– What makes me truly happy?
– What can I provide to humanity so that generations after me can benefit from that?

Brendon Burchard, one of my mentors, and the founder of Experts Academy, put it this way. He said when he had his car accident and he was about to die, he asked three questions from himself: Did I live? Did I love? And did I matter? His answer was no. And therefore when he survived his accident, he got a golden ticket to create the life he was meant to create.

So, if you live your life fully, if you love yourself and others, and if you offer something that you are passionate about to humanity, something that would be your legacy, then you would not regret your life in this world when you are about to die.

When I asked this question from a young guy who was drug addict but now in recovery program, he said no one would cry for him. But he said: “I want to change it. I want to matter.” And that is what is important. The moment you realize the depth of this lesson and decide and commit to change your life and discover your destiny you shift your whole consciousness and become aware. You wake up.

This lesson: “Who Will Cry When You Die” is all about finding your true purpose, discovering what you are meant to do in this life. As Robin Sharma says: “When you were born, you cried while the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries while you rejoice.”

So, think beyond your day to day activities and goals. See the big picture and design the life you were meant to live.
